Uterine Fibroids

What are Uterine Fibroids?

Uterine fibroids are smooth, muscular non-cancerous growths that form in the uterus. They can range in size from tiny to larger than a golf ball. It is estimated that over 30% of women develop them by age 35, and increases with age. Uterine fibroids have been known to cause no problems, and oftentimes go undetected.
